MarillabyMaya has been in the works for years. I started beading initially and making earrings with bits of wire and earring hooks but that is all it took before I feel in love with creating things with my hands. Nowadays everything I create is sterling silver or gold. I am studying metalsmithing and jewelry at Alberta University of the Arts in Calgary, AB. I participated in a weekend workshop for Maine teenagers at Haystack Mountain School of Crafts in Deer Isle, Maine. Additionally, I helped curate a gallery crawl at my university. I am flitting back and forth between Maine and Alberta and enjoy snowboarding in my free time to gather inspiration.
